AUA - Special Interest Groups

The AUA exists to advance and promote the professional recognition and development of all who work in professional services roles in higher education, and to be an authoritative advocate and champion for the sector.

Our Events

AUA organises an annual programme of seminars, workshops and conferences. The Annual Conference is the largest professional development conference in the HE calendar, with around 130 sessions and keynote presentations.

Special Interest Groups

It’s good to share...

Knowledge is power and AUA’s links with professional interest groups helps us share our knowledge, experience and good practice within the HE sector.

Through Special Interest Groups (SIGs), we bring together acknowledged experts, as well as those with a general interest in a particular area, to foster a spirit of professional enquiry and also help create specialist experts of the future.

The practical advantage of SIGs, along with other networks, is that they support themed events as well as specialist publications and generic AUA activity. At the moment, we operate the following Special Interest Groups:
