APPLICATIONS FOR 2008 ARE NOW CLOSED.

Are you an active professional HE manager or administrator?

Do you feel you should be publicly recognised for your contribution to promoting excellence in the sector?

Would you like to raise your profile and that of your HEI nationally and internationally?

Have you been involved in a project or programme which has established a new benchmark in best practice?

Would you value a travel award of up to £1,000?

If the answer to these questions is YES, then you should enter the AUA Awards for Excellence in Higher Education Management and Administration 2008.

These annual awards recognise excellence in the leadership and management of higher education institutions. They are intended to demonstrate the creativity and expertise which exist in the sector at all levels, and to promote good practice from which others can learn.

The awards are sponsored by leading law firm Watson Burton LLP. The prize money is for international travel to learn from examples of best practice at higher education institutions abroad, or to promote examples of UK best practice in other countries.

The award is open to active professional managers and administrators in higher education in the UK and Republic of Ireland who have a minimum of five years' administrative experience. The deadline for entries for the 2008 awards is 5 September 2008.

The winner will receive a travel award and one year's free membership of AUA.
