What is the AUA Postgraduate Certificate?
You are a professional with a rewarding career, and the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Administration, Management and Leadership appeals to managers and administrators right across the spectrum of UK higher education. If you wish to extend your understanding of the sector in which you work, as well as increase your professional abilities and career prospects, then this PgCert is ideal for you.
You’ll enjoy a highly flexible programme, which is validated by Nottingham Trent University, allowing you to balance professional development with the rigour of academic enquiry. You will also be allocated a mentor to help you along every step of the way. The programme leads ultimately to a level 7 postgraduate professional qualification.

Upgrade the AUA PgCert
On completion of the award, participants are eligible to complete further qualifications as the PgCert is built as a staged award:
- Stage 1 – the AUA PgCert (60 credits),
- Stage 2 - direct entry to the PgDip (two modules each of 30 credits)
- Stage 3 – direct entry to the MSc (a 20 credit research methods module and a 40 credit work related project/dissertation).
The AUA PgCert is delivered by the AUA and the PgDip and the MSc will be delivered directly by NTU.
