Annual Lecture and Awards Ceremony 2011

The 2011 Jubilee Lecture and Awards Ceremony took place on Tuesday evening at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London. The event was a huge success with over 200 members taking the opportunity to celebrate their involvement with AUA.

The aim of the Annual lecture is to provide a visionary and challenging perspective on the future of higher education and to contribute to the national debate on some of the topical and controversial issues facing the sector and society today. Our guest lecturer, Simon Fanshawe, certainly did that! His lecture gave an entertaining, intelligent and thought provoking perspective on the future of higher education and the place of universities in our society. The full lecture along with the award ceremony will be available on our website for viewing shortly.

The awards ceremony recognised individual and collective achievements and current members were able to honor the vision and passion of the founders of the AUA through the Honorary Fellowship Awards. Other awards presented were; AUA Fellowship Awards, Jubilee Awards, CPD Certificates of Recognition, Branch Good Practice Awards as well as the PgCert graduation.
