This one-day workshop for senior managers who aspire to move to the role of Academic Registrar (or equivalent). The workshop will provide an insight into the role of the Academic Registrar and assist senior managers in identifying how to prepare themselves to take on such a role.
Learning Outcomes:
• Develop a greater appreciation, understanding and knowledge of the role of an Academic Registrar
• Develop an appreciation of the generic and specific challenges faced by Academic Registrars
• Begin to develop an appreciation of personal strengths/weaknesses, knowledge, skills and competencies required to fulfil the role of Academic Registrar and better understand how to ‘hit the target’ when applying for the job
• Develop a personal development plan
• Be able to evaluate the culture of possible destinations / institutions and understand some of the implications this will have on the Academic Registrar’s role
