Accommodation

Thank you to all who attended the AUA Annual Conference and Exhibition 2012. The Conference minisite remains online for reference purposes. For details of the AUA Annual Conference and Exhibition 2013, please see the AUA homepage.

Following feedback from previous years’ conferences it was decided to make this year’s conference non-residential. This gives delegates more flexibility in terms of where they stay and how long they stay for and the ability to choose accommodation to suit their own budget.

Book your accommodation

There is a wide choice of hotel accommodation in Manchester, however rooms do fill up quickly, so in order to secure the best rates we suggest that you book your accommodation as soon as possible.

All delegates are responsible for making their own accommodation arrangements; however, to help you with your hotel booking, we have arranged preferential rates at a number of hotels near the conference centre or within easy reach by public transport. To make this as easy as possible bookings can be made through the University of Manchester accommodation booking service or directly at the at Renaissance Manchester City Centre Hotel or Marriott Manchester Victoria & Albert Hotel.

The booking service will provide the hotel options that are available, together with the associated costs and a link to the hotel’s webpage for further information.  Please book using this link or the button above.

A credit card number is required to guarantee your reservation. No charges will be made to this card at the time of booking as payment should be made directly with the hotel at the time of your stay.

However, in the case of non-arrival without pre-notification and cancellation within 28 days, the hotel reserves the right to levy a relevant charge. We will do our best to re-sell any cancelled rooms, to minimise charges.
