Institute for International Management Practice (IIMP)
Fixed term contract for one year
Ref: 000163-2
Our vibrant, modern University is gaining prominence both nationally and internationally and we have ambitious plans for our future. Our main campuses in the cities of Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough have been transformed with major capital investments. With an annual income of £163m, over 30,000 students and 2,000 staff, we are a major force for higher education in the East of England.
Within the Faculty we have an impressive range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and a reputation for business research, education and training with students, employers and professional bodies world-wide, built upon the innovative and cutting edge world class research we undertake. The Institute for International Management Practice (IIMP), a research resource for Lord Ashcroft International Business School, was established to provide an impetus to and focus for internationally recognised applied research that will make a genuine difference to business practice.
The IIMP has four aims:
1. to produce high quality research outputs,
2. to attract prestigeous and non-standard research income,
3. to enhance the research effort of the business school more generally, and;
4. to communicate its research to a wide audience, beyond academia.
It is particularly this 4th aim that this role will help realise. Responsible for a wide range of duties, you will be required to provide high quality administrative support for a range of external and internal marketing and communication activities and events for the IIMP and the wider Faculty. This includes researching and optimising engagement and communication with audiences via influential forms of social media to build vibrant communities and relationships in measurable ways.
With a degree, you will be IT literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office, web design and development software and Adobe Creative Suite CS5.5. You will have previous experience in a marketing and administrative role, ideally in an HE or public sector environment. You will be able to demonstrate experience of working accurately in a high pressured environment, meeting tight deadlines and working on your own initiative within a wider team. You will be required to travel between campuses as needed, and occasionally elsewhere within the UK. Experience of using social networking sites, event organisation and production of marketing and promotional material is essential.
Qualifications below degree level will be considered if applicants demonstrate solid experience and of continuing professional development in an appropriate area of activity.
We value diversity at Anglia Ruskin University and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
