It all began back in 1961. Today, 50 years on as we proudly celebrate our Golden Jubilee, AUA boasts more than 4,000 members both in the UK and around the world.

AUA is the professional association for higher education administration and management staff – we know how important your job is and understand how much it means to you. Our aim is clear: to promote excellence in higher education management and to be a champion for our sector. 

Our national office is based at The University of Manchester and we have members in over 150 higher education establishments throughout the UK. And we’re growing all the time, looking forward to the next 50 years! 

All AUA members are committed to the continuous development of their own and others' knowledge, skills and practices. We actively champion equality of educational and professional opportunity and the advancement of higher education through professional knowledge, skills and practices. We demonstrate the highest standards of fair, ethical and transparent professional behaviour.
